SUMMARY:Andrew Acquadro New Works
DESCRIPTION:Andrew Acquadro New Works\n\nGaleria Adelmo is proud to present an exhibition of current paintings by artist\, Andrew Acquadro.  The exhibition will open to the public with an artist’s reception on Friday\, October 26 will be on view through November 27\, 2018.\n\nABOUT THE ARTIST: \nAndrew Acquadro’s latest work brings back to life the exotic images of his travels and the beautiful memories forever ingrained in the chambers of his mind. Alluring landscapes\, soothing horizons\, and the wonderful otherness of time and space are at the core of this show. \nThis quasi-nostalgic and often hypnotic remembrance gives Acquadro’s work a lurking aura\, a double-edged romantic wish that travelling can be again what it once was. Inspired by over 20 years spent traveling\, Andrew’s work represents an incredible collection of fascinating memories from all over the world. \nArt is an endless source of creativity. An empty canvas is a place for me to experiment with anything that comes to mind. Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started painting and drawing at a young age\, majored in art history in college\, and spent summers in Italy with my family looking at original Italian masterpieces. Growing up in Washington\, DC meant I also had unlimited access to amazing (and free!) art museums. I am fortunate to be able to experience and appreciate art\, in some form\, every day. \nAndrew Acquadro’s art is currently displayed in Washington DC at Studio Gallery and in Miami at Adelmo Gallery  \nhttps://www.studiogallerydc.com/artists/#/andrew-acquadro/ \nhttps://adelmogallery.com \nMost recent shows: \n\nAugust 2018 – No Context: All Members Exhibition at Studio Gallery\, Washington\, DC\nJune 2018 – Private showing for Charles Schwab\, Bethesda\, MD\n\nGaleria Adelmo is located in the Little Havana Arts District and opened in April of 2010. The gallery’s primary goal is to represent and promote the artworks of local established and emerging artists from South Florida and throughout the globe. \nThe gallery showcases a new emerging artist the last Friday of each month and has been doing so for the past eight years. Galeria Adelmo offers private painting lessons\, intimate group painting parties\, as well as a Saturday morning group art class. \nVisit our new website at www.adelmogallery.com for the most up-to-date information about Galeria Adelmo events and happenings.

SUMMARY:Celestial Collective Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Galeria Adelmo is proud to present a collective exhibition by five gifted and diversely talented Latin artists.  The “Celestial Collective Exhibition” will feature paintings by these artists depicting their artistic studies of heavenly images. The exposition will open to the public with an artist’s reception on Friday\, August 31\, 2018 and will be available for viewing through October 23\, 2018. \n\nABOUT THE ARTISTS: \nFernando Martin\nFernando was born in Cuba\, July 1985.  He always felt attracted to art\, but mostly to drawing\, painting and the classic arts.  His favorite is the Renaissance period and particularly the work of Leonardo da Vinci.  Since Fernando loves inventions and science\, he was then attracted to the art of Michelangelo.  Later on he meet the work of Caravaggio; like Caravaggio’s illuminations and dark backgrounds\, Fernando has always loved this technique since he started drawing. \nBecause Mr. Martin never went to any art academy it was very useful that he studied human anatomy and morphology in his career for this kind of work.  Fernando started to study painting by using his own colors theory and other various techniques like charcoal\, ball pen drawing\, sculpture\, mosaic\, stop motion animation and oil painting. \n\nSoledad Garriga\nSoledad Garriga is from La Plata\, Argentina.  Very early in her life Soledad started as she calls\, her first attempt at painting.  She began with water scenes and then progressed into creating colorful subjects including materials she chose for each unique interpretation; adding written words detailing life in her native city of La Plata. \nSoledad has exhibited her works in Barcelona\, Cuba\, Paris\, La Plata\, Buenes Aires\, Rosario and New York. \n\nCarlos Camero \nCARLOS CAMERO was born in Havana on June 10\, 1970.  He studied and taught art at the Academy of Fine Arts “San Alejandro”. Specialty: Drawing and Painting. \nArt Critic’s review: “Free of narrative or historic pretensions\, Camero creates scenarios where the organic game of figurations embodies a secret yearning for liberation. Apparently alienated from the common questions about the world and the moral transformations of humanity\, the painter misses the position of the artist-agent-critic to solve a reality “other” that\, committed\, is dilate towards a dialogue with Nature as a trigger for tangible forms of emotionality. \nThe success in the choice\, treatment and organization of the different motifs and visual elements that make up the work\, allow you to model a renewed sensitive appearance of Nature; contemplated and recreated as a coherent whole\, emotionally perceptible and aesthetically significant.” \nPrivate Collections \nCarlos Cameros has participated in exhibitions and also has his works with private collections in Panama\, the United States\, Germany\, Spain\, Mexico\, Canada\, France\, Chile and the Dominican Republic. \n\nRamses Llufrio\nRamses Llufrio is a Cuban artist who was self-taught from a very early age as he started to take its first steps in painting. At first beginnings of painting Ramses prefered pencils and brushes over the usual toys. As Llufrio developed his craft during the early stages of his career he exhibited in different competitions and festivals of his hometown\, Cotorro\, Cuba and in different Houses of Culture and TV shows in Cuba. \nMr. Llufrio’s landscapes are excellent; his oil paintings transmit the whisper of rivers and the gentle breezes that dance with the branches of their trees. Palms\, … those brides waiting… occupy a top place in his work\, perhaps inherited from the great landscape of the largest of the Antilles. \nRamses Llufrio has exhibited in many of the upscale galleries and art centers throughout South Florida and the Greater Miami region. His works have been showcased in Art Basel\, Wynwood\, and other high-end art marketplaces for several years. Ramses’s art is fresh\, genuine and unique; he is definitely a rising emerging artist that paints daily. He exudes a robust spirit and his breathtaking paintings that have been noticed and appreciated by many in Cuba and the United States.  \n\nSandy Lorenzo\nSandy is a self-taught artist who was born and lived in the Pine Forest of the River Cuba\, a land of farmer peasants\, where the main land branch is currently large fields of tobacco plantations. The technique Sandy uses is oil on canvas from the very beginnings of my painting career.  Lorenzo comes from a natural guajiro environment where he always liked to paint his own landscapes onsite\, to see the sunrises\, the mists and view the mountains. In this current world where war is always imminent\, Sandy emphasizes nature in his paintings as a means of reflection and offers his art so that other people can see that there are places like the Garden of Eden from Adam and Eve. \n\nGaleria Adelmo is located at 1165 S.W. Sixth Street\, Miami in Little Havana and opened in April of 2010.  The main mission and primary goal of the art gallery is to represent and promote the art works of local established or emerging artists from South Florida and throughout the globe.  For the past eight years on the last Friday of each month\, coinciding with Viernes Culturales festival\, Galeria Adelmo has showcased a featured artist. Galeria Adelmo also offers a Saturday Morning Art Class\, private weekday painting lessons\, as well as fun Private Painting Parties.

SUMMARY:LOST WORLDS Photography by Nestor Fabal
DESCRIPTION:LOST WORLDS\nPhotography by NESTOR FABAL\n\nOpening Show Reception\nFriday\, February 23\, 2017 at 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm\n1165 SW 6St Miami\, Florida 33130. Phone: (305) 549 7200\n\nGaleria Adelmo is proud to present a retrospective exhibition of photography by Miami-based photographer Nestor Fabal. The exhibition will open with an artist’s reception on Friday\, February 23rd from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm and it will be on view until March 27th.\nBorn in Havana\, raised in Hialeah\, photographer Nestor Fabal would like to consider himself a global citizen. He hasn’t been everywhere yet\, but it is definitely on his list! \nHis latest solo photo exhibit\, “Lost Worlds” will showcase a variety of exotic global destinations ranging from the wild monkey temples of Thailand to the ancient temple ruins of Cambodia\, and from the banks of India’s sacred River Ganges to the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan Mountains in Nepal. \n“Lost Worlds” will look to bring the vibrancy of these rich cultures to Galeria Adelmo in Little Havana in order to unearth the hidden treasures of these far-away lands from the distant past\, and in doing so reveal the common grounds that we all share as members of the same human race. \nReady to take the trip? Join us in Galeria Adelmo in Little Havana on Friday\, February 23 for the opening reception of “Lost Worlds.” \nNestor Fabal was born in the Miramar district of Havana\, Cuba but immigrated to Miami with his family as a young boy. He graduated from Hialeah High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts in FSU. After working in IT for a few years\, he decided the office lifestyle was not for him. In 2008 he booked a one-way flight to Europe and bought a camera and taught himself how to use it on the fly. \nSince then his passion for photography and travel has only continued to grow as he has now visited 18 countries and counting. In his travels his goal is to deeply immerse himself within cultures that are vastly different from his own and to strive to capture the genuine experience of the people\, places\, and events that he encounters.   \nSpecializing in travel and documentary photography\, Nestor Fabal looks to familiarize the viewer with images he has captured throughout his travels that may at first seem foreign or exotic and through the magic of photography highlight the common bonds that we all share. \nGaleria Adelmo located in the Little Havana district opened in April of 2010. Its primary goal is to represent and promote the artworks of local established or emerging artists from South Florida and from throughout the Globe. \nGallery Website: https://adelmogallery.com/ \nGallery Instagram: https://instagram.com/galeriaadelmo.com \nArtist Website: http://www.nestorf456.wixsite.com/nmfphoto \nArtist Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/namaste.nomad

SUMMARY:Antonio Del Moral in Futurama
DESCRIPTION:A retrospective selection of the work of this legendary artist\n\nArtwalk at Futurama\n Friday\, February 9\, from 7 pm to 10 pm\n Futurama 1637 SW 8th St\, Miami\, FL 33135\n\nMr. del Moral studied art at a very early age in his hometown in Havana\, Cuba at the San Alejandro Academia de Arte. In 1962 he arrived in the United States and pursued his passion for painting. He studied for several years at the Corcoran School of Art and the American University in Washington\, D.C. \nFor over forty years Antonio has continued to prolifically paint in his private art studio. His works include various mediums\, including watercolor\, oil and acrylic. Antonio’s painting evolved and developed through several phases in practicing his craft. Initially exploring his Cuban roots and later on evolving into other movements including cubism\, abstract\, realism and finally impressionism. He concedes that each phase has assisted him in nurturing his unique artistic technique. \nMr. del Moral’s early paintings in oil\, acrylic and watercolor have shown his provocative use of vibrant colors to ascertain his tropical influences. He has brought genuine warmth and vitality to each piece of art. Antonio’s early still life paintings are fresh and expressive. “My passion as a painter is to constantly explore new techniques in expressing myself. Drawing from my Cuban roots\, I bring genuine warmth and vitality to each piece of work with the bold use of vibrant colors. My art is fresh and expressive\, with playful and engaging studies of nudes\, portraits\, flowers\, landscapes\, abstracts and other subjects showing my expansive artistic range. I have worked in oils\, acrylics\, watercolor and other mediums stretching through five unique decades\, producing a commanding collection of masterful art.” \nAntonio is currently dedicating some of his time to teaching at the gallery every Saturday morning and continue having fun paint nights to groups when requested as well as painting in his spare time. My goal since the conception of the gallery has always been to promote and feature new and upcoming artists of the community. You may see the works of art by Antonio del Moral at his new art gallery in Miami\, Florida. Visit us at Futurama 1637 on 8th Street or at the Adelmo Gallery on 6th Street of Little Havana

SUMMARY:Best of Jesus
DESCRIPTION:Galería Adelmo is pleased to announce the opening of “BEST OF JESUS”; a art exhibition of works by Jesus Echeverria.  This collection of paintings will open on Friday\, 01/ 26/2018 and will run through 02/21/ 2018. \n\n Jesus Echevarria was born in the city of Pinar del Rio\, Cuba and at the early age of twelve he began his studies of drawing and painting together with Art History\, artistic feeling\, perspective culture\, color and landscape. His artistic preparation was shared between the well-known School of Plastic Arts of San Alejandro\, in Havana and the Provincial Art School of Pinar del Rio\, Cuba. \nHe has participated through the years  in many personal and collective exhibitions\, as well as in national and provencial salons\, where he won two second prizes and several honorable mentions in the specialty of Landscapes and Portraits. Once he arrived in the United States\, he continued to make nostalgic landscapes of the western U.S. territories\, having as his theme the famous mogotes of Vinales\, peasants plowing the land or collecting leaves of tobacco\, etc.  But he is not limited exclusively to his native land\, as he began to paint landscapes of Florida\, mainly the “Everglades\, as well as coastal marinas and other Floridian themes. \nAt the same time he always keeps studying the works of some North American painters of the beginning of the century\, such as: Wislow Hommer\, Thomas Hill and other contemporaries like: David A. Leffel and Margaret Kessler\, identifying much with the latter by the technique of their work in both color\, composition and method. Jesus is currently working hard in the realistic wave or hyperrealism\, and has received great acceptance\, highlighting his work for the small details\, and for the marked contrasts of light and shadow\, atmosphere and richly colored elements such as Florida mangos\, oranges and vegetables.   \nHe has participated in collective salons and art festivals where he has just won a second prize in the oil and acrylic genre in the past “South Miami Art Festival” which is celebrated every year and involving artists from all over the country. He also has paintings located in some Art Galleries in the city of Miami. Well-known collectors and prominent figures have works painted by this artist. \nGaleria Adelmo is located at 1165 S.W. Sixth Street\, Miami in the Little Havana district and opened in April of 2010.  Its primary goal and mission is to represent and promote the artworks of local established or emerging artists from South Florida and throughout the globe.  On the last Friday of each month\, coinciding with Viernes Culturales festival\, Galeria Adelmo showcases a featured artist exhibition.  Galeria Adelmo also offers a Saturday Morning Art Class\, private weekday painting lessons\, as well as private painting parties at the art gallery.

SUMMARY:Rafael Montilla Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Rafael Montilla Art Exhibition\nThrough my eyes\n\n\nGALERIA ADELMO\n\nNovember 24th\, 2017\, Seven pm\n1165 SW 6th St\, Miami\, FL 33135\n\n\n\nSince I remember I have given importance to two things\, internal seeking and art\, I have developed my life around them.\nMy desire is to show my inner quest experience. All my work is rooted on Mandalas\, specifically on the flower of life. Mandalas like numerology exist in all religions. The basis of my proposals is spiritual. On this internal search\, I have been fortunate enough to travel the world and thus experiment and learn from the richness of different culture\, which has nourished my soul. New experiences\, mine\, and others what I manifest through photography.\n\nMaria Luisa\, my beloved grandmother used to say\, “God has more to give to us than we to ask him for”\, and she was so right\, it is true\, God has given us Mother Nature. I am grateful and pleased to brighten the eyes and the spirit of people through photography.\n\nThe process of creating my work arises from a feeling. The place where I take the picture is one that fulfills my spirit with that full feeling of connection with the universe. I enjoy that moment by raising my spirit to be able to capture the gift that I have before my eyes. I feel\, appreciate and gratefully accept this present and that is when I take the photograph. When I take a photo\, all my senses become one\, and the moment becomes sublime\, yes\, I stop breathing for a few seconds\, then I am ready to capture the moment which ends up being part of me\, my reflection\, my essence. The next step is to diagram each geometric figure and carefully choose the surface where it will be captured. I am captivated by wood because it has so much to give\, by metal\, glass\, fabric or plastic\, materials that will end up projecting that feeling that I offer each person. I always seek to innovate in new materials and surfaces to print my photos\, each material\, each surface reflects the many feelings and stages of my life. My camera is my partner\, my friend\, together we look for the moment\, the place to express the experience\, the feeling\, my inner self. Now that you are in front of my work\, I give you my feeling. Now my work has been completed. I have had the opportunity to connect with your feelings and create in you a sensation that emanates from your energy\, now is when the circle closes and the road has been crossed.

SUMMARY:CARNE-VAL Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:CARNE-VAL Exhibition\nPhotography by Rosee Camafreita and Ali X Miranda\n\nOctober 27\, 2017 through November 22\, 2017\nOpening Reception: Friday\, October 27\, 2017 at 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm\n\nGalería Adelmo is pleased to announce the opening of “CARNE-VAL”; a photography exhibition of works by Rosee Camafreita and Ali X Miranda.  This collection of photographs will open on Friday\, October 27\, 2017 and will run through November 22\, 2017.   \nRosee Camafreita was born in Cuba but lives and works in Miami.  The CARNE-VAL Exhibition will feature creative and unique headdresses and masks she has handmade that celebrate free expression and beauty. With her upcoming exhibition\, she is exploring perception\, how we see\, create and transform images through looking. Her objective is to scrutinize the relationship between what is revealed and what remains unseen and to enable an encounter\, an intimate conversation directly with the viewer. Rosee is also interested in questioning the viewer experiences and creating a situation for them to become aware of this sensual process. \nAs Rosee states\, she uses a camera as an artistic medium and a tool for experimentation. Using natural and artificial light along with different textures and an array of objects she creates visually engaging images to garner phantasmagorical effects. She received her BFA from Miami Dade College. Her work has been exhibited in such locales as Little Havana\, South Miami and Downtown Miami and can be found in many of Miami’s private collections. Her relentless dedication for working in the studio inspires her “to attempt to communicate and interact with others\, not through words\, but through looking.” \nRosee will be collaborating with her friend and associate\, Ali X Miranda\, a seasoned \nphotographer in the Miami area.  Greatly known for his erotic nudes\, Ali’s work is often featured in both local and national publications\, covering a broad spectrum in the photography field from commercial to fine art.  A native of the Miami area\, Ali established himself as a photo artist in South Beach during the late 80’s and up to the present. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Arts College of San Francisco and also attended the School of Visual Arts in New York and Chicago. \nHis photography has been exhibited in art galleries throughout South Florida and the United States. \nThe upcoming exhibition\, “CARNE-VAL”\, is inspired by the Christian practices and celebrations of Shrove Tuesday\, (aka: Mardi Gras or Carnival) the last night of feasting and self-indulgence before Ash Wednesday\, when the penitential season of Lent begins.  In the CARNE-VAL exhibition\, these two photographers attempt to capture the frolic mood and fantastical imagery that are associated with the ‘shriven’ days before Lent. \nGaleria Adelmo is located at 1165 S.W. DESCRIPTION:Daniel Meakin Art Exhibition\n\nOpening Night Friday September 29 -7:00pm to 10:00pm\n\nDaniel Meakin Master in European Fine Art \nAs a child living near to Manchester\, I enjoyed creating images through doodling\, sketching and painting.  During my three years undertaking my BA Honours degree\, I observed shape\, form\, and contour within my urban surroundings\, focusing on composition\, light and texture.  I enjoyed using various mediums\, especially painting and textiles and found objects. \nAfter completing my BA (Hons) I wanted to explore the urban landscape further.  In 1998 I undertook my Master in European Fine Art in Barcelona\, investigating the rich tapestry of its contemporary urban living\, with its medieval and modernist architecture\, fused with the colour and vibe of mediterranean culture.  The Master was completed with a successful collective exhibition in the historical English city of Winchester.  I continue to live in Barcelona where I enjoy making exhibitions\, live art performances\, private commissions and participating in fine art auctions and International art fairs such as Art Basel 2016 in Miami and Open Art Code at Le Grand Palais in Paris in 2017. \nSome of my achievements include: \nBarcelona Metropolitan Transport Commission / published interviews and write-ups in national and local newspapers and journals / interview in European Culture Magazine / Live Painting performances in festivals and art fairs / over ten years of selling my paintings in Fine Art Auctions / operating an Art Gallery in Barcelona – organizing and setting up exhibitions and producing paintings and commissions for Collectors all over the World including the family of J.P.Morgan.  From 2015-16 I undertook a 3-week commission in Fort Lauderdale as well as two collective exhibitions in one of Miami’s leading galleries. \nI look forward to exhibiting my paintings for the first time in Little Havana at Galería Adelmo in late 2017. \n“I first encountered the paintings of Daniel Meakin in 1998.  I was impressed by his boundless energy and ability to promote his many experiences using his vibrant and refreshing visual language.  Daniel’s work senses the visual power of Art Brut and gauges the essential measurement between establishing a positive experience against merely mimicking one.  Perhaps this is what helps to conjure the true magic of the individual vision.” \nDavid Ferry\, Visiting Associate Professor of Fine Art\, Long Island University\, New York.
